MusiCure - sensory stimulation for Healthcare

Evidence based stress reducing interventions - with original music and nature films
The originally specially composed MusiCure music and the film productions with nature atmospheres, are all created especially for the entire healthcare sector by composer Niels Eje and producer Inge Mulvad Eje. More than 20 years of creative development, based on scientific research, is the foundation for the creation of MusiCure - research that today is published in international medical journals.

The scientific documentation and numerous studies with hospital patients, began in 1998 at Copenhagen University Hospital (Rigshospitalet). The internationally published articles, describing the impact of MusiCure, are all written by independent researchers on their own initiative. Today, more than 35 scientific articles have been published in several medical journals - listed under RESEARCH here on this site.

Composer Niels Eje and producer Inge Mulvad Eje, who is the creators of MusiCure, have not had any influence on the research results obtained with this original music, but simply delivered the specially created content in the programs used for the patients. The MusiCure repertoire also includes specially produced films with nature, which have been carefully edited to the music, and the entire repertoire of music and films is now available on our own digital streaming platform ‘MusiCureStream’. The MusiCure films follow the same basic principles as the music, and convey soothing and de-stressing atmospheres, without speech or disturbing text.

The MusiCure Pillow is a high quality ergonomic foam pillow with built-in speakers and high-quality sound. It is CE marked according to current EU directives and registered as a medical device in class 1. The pillow always comes with a specially developed "MusiCure Player" which contains a MusiCure music program of over an hour, and a thorough manual with instructions for using both pillow and player. The MusiCure compositions consist of instrumental soundscapes, as well as unique recordings of natural sounds, carefully selected and integrated into the music. In general, the compositions are 'universal' and 'genre-less' musical expressions, aimed at anyone seeking evidence-based stimulation to reduce stress, anxiety, and insomnia.
